My parents say I was born with a natural curiosity as I constantly sought to learn how things worked which usually ended with me taking things apart. That natural curiosity led me to a career in research, specifically medical research in Molecular & Cellular Biology and Genetics.
Over the years, I have worked in both academia and industry, not only as a scientist but also as a communicator. With 10+ years of mentoring experience coupled with excellent communication and leadership skills, I am eager to shape organizations to meet and exceed employers' needs and customers' expectations.
When I am not working, I enjoy volunteering and creating original content for my YouTube channel (PrincessPennyPincherPhD). Astonishingly enough, I am a silver-level ballroom dancer in Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Cha-Cha, Rumba, and East Coast Swing, but also love Salsa, Bachata, Quickstep, and Samba.
I am interested in making new connections and expanding my network. I am currently open to new job opportunities and am willing to locate or work remotely. If you would like to talk about science, research, ballroom dancing, or anything else, please feel free to contact me via LinkedIn or through my e-mail address (firstname.lastname@example.org).
